Core Facilities

The 1st Drayton Scout Group headquarters are situated approximately 5 miles outside Norwich on the A1067 (map ref: 134/188132). Set within an extensive 10 acre site of grassland and woodland, the site is ideal for camping and Scouting activities. Nearby are supermarkets, ‘local’ stores, a post office and a petrol station.
The Marriott’s Way footpath is within easy walking distance.

The headquarters, grounds and other facilities (see below) are all available for hire. Costs are as below, all utilities are included: –

Part day (up to 6 hours) £20 for up to 10 people £2 per person over 10 people
Full day (up to 12 hours) £30 for up to 10 people £3 per person over 10 people
Overnight (up to 24 hours) £40 for up to 10 people £4 per person over 10 people

*per person includes all under 18 years of age attending the site, but we make no charge for adult leaders or children under 5 years of age.

Available facilities are divided into ‘Core’ and ‘Additional’. All core facilities are provided as part of the venue hire. Additional facilities are bookable and will carry a surcharge (rates will vary depending on requirements). Please note that the additional facilities will require the presence of our own qualified leaders and their availability cannot be guaranteed. Should your own personnel be appropriately qualified to use the additional facilities, then discounted rates are available. Please note that you will need to provide your own equipment for archery (safety net and butts can be provided), rifle shooting and catapulting and proof of qualification will be required.
